Starvation was the word often associated with losing weight.  It’s all because of the diet protocols being made available today are all about getting rid of a specific food group.  It can even be about lessening the food intake on a daily basis.  In effect, the person receiving the diet often feels deprived and experiences a great amount of craving of the food taken out by the diet.  When the tough becomes tougher, the person just ends up giving in.  Though these diet protocols allow to lose weight, once a person gives in, the weight lost is back.

For starters, it pays to have a solid focus in achieving weight loss.  If the mind is in the right condition, one won’t even notice that he is in a diet.

If exercise is too much of a task, why not try sight-seeing?  It’s also a good way to relax and release the mind from stress.  Ideally, a good 30 minute walk could help out in promoting good circulation.  At the same time, it will prevent fat from forming in the body.  Add a little 15 minutes to it and weight loss can begin.

Having a “weight loss buddy” can also make a difference.  Find someone who wants to lose weight too.  This will be a constant reminder to stay in focus and keep moving forward in order to reach the goal.  There will definitely times when one would want to go back to the usual eating habits.  Having a buddy will be a good constant reminder of the goal.

Another great way to lose weight is to use colors.  A good appetite suppressant is the color blue.  Believe it or not, this is one color that can help a person not want food.  No need to feel deprived.  Blue will automatically suppress the appetite.  On the contrary, red is the known to trigger appetite.  Since the red encourages appetite, it won’t be really helpful with the diet.  Avoid wearing red during mealtime.  In fact, avoid placing anything red on the table.

The way a person chooses his clothes can also contribute in weight loss.  Once weight is already lost, get rid of the clothes that had all the waistline inches written all over it.  Buy a new set of clothes made for the slimmer body after the weight loss.  Doing this, one might think twice in gaining weight again as all the money spent in it will be a complete waste if these clothes shall not be worn again all because the weight lost came back and the new clothes no longer fit.

It’s all about the way the mind is conditioned.  If the mind is correctly focused, there is really no difficult diet protocol at all.  Weight loss is not that challenging if a person knows discipline and has the right focus for things.  Make any weight loss program be as effective as possible with the right mind set.

Now that the holidays are over and the season for swimsuits is just around the corner, a lot of people are hurrying to get their body swimsuit ready.  After all, who would want to see bulges and humps in the wrong places when one is wearing a swimsuit?  Eating is fun during the holidays but what happens after all the pounds have already packed up in the arms, thighs and the belly?  Indeed, there is a problem is in getting a swimsuit-ready body as it is not an easy thing for a person.

Don’t panic after noticing that the clothes do not fit anymore.  It’s a matter of focusing and grouping.  Think about losing weight in just a week.

One would ask, “Is it really possible to lose weight in such a short span of time?”  Yes, it is possible.  It may sound impossible at first but with the right focus and attitude, losing weight in seven days is just a week away.

The first thing to do is to condition the mind.  During the diet period, there are two things to put in mind: the goal is to lose weight and that the stomach will not need a large quantity of food each time.  The first one is to set the focus of the mind each time it tries to go back to the old habits that won’t be of any help to the diet.  It’s more of a psychological approach.  The second one is more of a physical conditioning.  Eating good is all about the quality of the food being eaten and not based on the amount being consumed.  Condition the stomach to consume less amount of food in order to lessen the amount of calories.

It’s all about being careful with what is being eaten.  The best way to lose weight within a week is to eat only fruits and vegetables.  However, eating these must be done in moderation.  Ideally, three (3) pounds or 1.5 kg on a daily basis is sufficient.  There are a lot of healthy fruits and vegetables that can be eaten on a daily basis without having to worry about calories.  In order to reduce fat that is often added when the food is cooked on top of a stove, these fruits and vegetables are suggested to be eaten raw, boiled, mashed and even pureed.

It also pays to cut off the sugar even with the drinks.  For example, coffee and juice must be consumed as it is without adding any sugar.  The recommended drink is the basic water.  To help with digestion and have a dose of antioxidants, green tea is also preferred.

The same thing is true when it comes to salt.  Salt is as addictive as sugar.  One will want more after the first bite.  If salt cannot be completely eliminated, at least lessen the amount.

To lose weight in a week may sound too promising.  However, nothing’s really that impossible as long as the diet is done with the right attitude and discipline.
